Fashion details are the application of elements that makes a clothing or garment look attractive and interesting in fashion design. The examples of fashion details are silhouettes, embroidery, beadings, colour and textures of the clothing and the types of collars, pockets and the skirt lengths of a garment, etc.

Minimalism

Fashion details are influenced by the architecture, cultural and social attitudes of our generation. Recently, the fashion industry and the fashion blogging community has been dominating the minimalistic approach with simple clean cuts and neutral palettes.

 Fashion influenced by History: Baroque

The past influences the present so much through history which moulds us and makes us who we are today. Without a past we have nothing to go by, alter or to look back on. Therefore, elements from the past will always come back around again into the present society especially in high fashion. Another reason why the past influences the present so much is because we are all descendents of our ancestors which means that we all have people from the past that we look back on and study how they lived their life. However it is up to us in the sense of how much we are influenced by the past and to what extent we let it influence us. You could say that the past is the core to our designs but it is changed by giving it a contemporary twist.

How can the application of details in design work, improve and make designs more desirable and delight the customer?

The application of details in design can work, improve and make designs more attractive and desirable to customers is to know what looks good and what does not look good. The aesthetics of what you're designing should appeal to customers by having a good design and using the application of details wisely and carefully. And to be able to do that is by assessing the body types that you want to style for, like plus sizes for an example. Not only body types, but the fashion details must have some balance or contrast with the elements that you're patching with. All these fashion details of colours, cuts, materials and observations are needed to create the perfect blueprint of what looks good on the customers that you're serving for.The details should compliment each other.

Playing it safe and relying on the basics won't get you anywhere so you will need to be creative and bold in order to have your own personal style which separates you from the others. Be inspired and play with different fashion details.

Application of details can improve by following or breaking the trends in the fashion industry. People tend to buy clothes which are on the rise in the market. Details can enhance clothing to make it appealing and attractive.

Having good quality clothes are important. People won't mind paying extra if the the clothing is in great quality and have intricate details on it. The little details are what people would appreciate more.
When you pay for clothes with great quality, you are paying for the thought-process that goes behind the design, the quality of the fabrics are carefully chosen. The fine workmanship of your garment could possibly last than more a few wears. It is more ideal that people would buy good quality clothes to keep it for the long run rather than having to spend more money on low quality ones.
